Seeing as even we struggle to remember which badge and shirt colour went with which year, we’ve decided to document them to aid our failing memories…
Rubber wrist bands – it was year one and we wanted something simple. People pointed out that if we hadn’t put the year on them they were could have reused them the next year, we pointed out that if we hadn’t put the year on them, you could have reused them the next year.
Green Shirts
Flat caps – we were building our reputation as the northern con, and what could be more northern than a flat cap? Light Green Shirts
Whippets – It turns out, a flat cap and a whippet is more northern than just a cap, so that is what we gave you this year. Dark Blue Shirts
Handcuffs – when this was suggested, one of the management wives commented in shock ” but you’ll have people locked up all over Sheffield”, we struggled to see why that was a bad thing. Light Blue Shirts
Floppy disks – with the decision made to have a retro gaming area, the decision to have disks as badges was an obvious choice. Orange Shirts
Spoons – this was a practical badge inspired by amazing Our Cow Molly ice cream we have year. Yellow Shirts
You’ll never know, but let’s just say, the diamonds shone like Woody’s smile, the sapphires brought out the blue in Digi’s eyes, and they were the size of Neil’s calves.
